Rebrand resulting in 25% growth in overall traffic
The challenge
Barker’s had been a trusted name for more than a hundred years, and that name was the single strongest asset the business had. So rebranding it, from Barker’s Fencing to Barker’s Security Engineering, and moving to a new website at the same time, carried real risk. Rebrands and migrations are each a place where hard-won visibility and brand recognition can quietly disappear. Doing both at once, for a heritage brand, on a modest budget and with a small team, meant the technical detail had to be spot on.
The work
We had already migrated Barker’s website more than once over our years working together, so we knew the setup inside out. This was the biggest move of the lot, because it carried the rebrand with it. We worked closely with their small team to map everything across, protect every ranking, and carry the authority the old name had built onto the new one. Benchmark everything, map every page and URL, plan the redirects properly, and QA the detail through to launch.
The results
The rebrand and migration didn’t cost them ground, they gained it. Overall website traffic came out 25% higher after the move, with the new name carrying the recognition and authority the old one had earned over a century. For a business changing the very thing its customers knew it by, that is about the best outcome a rebrand can hope for.
